| Fabrication Method: | To achieve the dome shaped finish of these penthouses, the plasterboard needed to follow the structural steel. Given the structural steel spans are too far apart to suspend plasterboard we created a plywood subframe.
Due to the domes multiple radius’s the frame was designed off the Architects CAD drawings to ensure correct shape and accuracy, then CNC machined. We also notched out furring channel battens to complete the structure. |
